Bank stocks were among the top gainers. Bank of Communications gained 1.4%, China CITIC Bank added 1.7% and Agricultural Bank of China rose 1.1%. Decliners included Beijing Kingsoft Office Software, which fell 2.9%, and Poly Developments & Holdings, which declined 1.5%.
