Crude Oil Falls 4%, Continuing Four-Week Slide
Signs of a slackening market continue to pressure crude prices.
Futures on West Texas Intermediate crude oil—the U.S. benchmark—were trading for $73.61 a barrel, 4% below Wednesday’s settlement. That extended a slump that has hit prices by nearly 6% in the past two days and 17% over the past four weeks.
