Former President Trump will return to the White House, with key swing states breaking his way on Tuesday, according to projections from Decision Desk HQ.
Trump flipped Georgia and Pennsylvania, and kept North Carolina red. In some traditionally blue counties, he outperformed his 2020 performance. He was on track to win well more than the necessary 270 Electoral College votes.
Vice President Harris’s campaign maintained late Tuesday that it was not yet out of the race, with results in the “blue wall” states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin coming in slowly.
In Congress, Republicans took back the Senate majority after four years. Control of the House remains uncertain.
