Ferretti Group Kicks Off The European Yacht Show Season With A Bang

On Saturday night, Monaco was rocked awake by Italian rock band Måneskin, who lit up Port Hercules with their electric guitars, drums and distinctive vocals. The band was in Monte Carlo for a private event at Yacht Club de Monaco hosted by Ferretti Group, an Italian shipyard known for its glamorous parties. They performed on a floating stage in front of a backdrop of superyachts for an audience of yacht owners and VIPs including Monégasque Formula One racing driver Charles Leclerc, who introduced them on stage.

It was a suitably show-stopping event for Ferretti Group, and set the stage for this week’s Cannes Yachting Festival, where the Group unveiled several world premieres from across several of its yacht brands. Discover the highlights below.

Ferretti Yachts INFYNITO 90

Dubbed a “spaceship” by Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi, INFYNITO 90 raised eyebrows as it entered Vieux-Port de Cannes on Thursday. This new INFYNITO range model, which features an exceptionally bold silhouette, offers “a yachting experience based on contact with the surrounding environment in a sustainable, sophisticated and customizable dimension,” the brand reveals. Highlights of the 27-metre yacht include a double deck enclosed raised salon and an open deck and extended cockpit concept built to maximise views. There’s also an all-season terrance on the bow, which the yard claims has been never been seen before on a motor yacht.

Pershing GTX116

Offering owners a “new dimension of sporty elegance”, the latest premiere from Pershing is the brand’s first sport utility yacht. The flagship of the new GTX range, the 35-metre yacht offers high performance and comfort, with 360 sqm of space arranged for maximum liveability. The GTX116 also claims to redefine the beach club, with plenty of open spaces, some of which come into direct contact with the water. She’s also got a large garage with capacity for myriad water toys – ideal for the sporty theme.

Ferretti Yachts 1000 SkyDeck

Ahead of her official debut at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the shipyard presented a new ‘Skydeck’ edition of the Ferretti Yachts 1000 model. Newly styled for wellbeing, the 30-metre yacht features an enclosed, sheltered space on the upper deck that can be enjoyed in all weathers, all year round. The lounge is connected to an al fresco deck and features wide panoramic windows and a sky light to maintain a strong connection to the outside world.

wallywhy150

Another show-topping yacht turning heads at the Cannes Yachting Festival was the wallywhy150 – instantly recognisable by her bold, green exterior. Described as the “latest crossover spaceship” in the wallywhy range, the yacht aims to break new ground for sub-24-metre yachts, proving that bigger doesn’t always mean better.

“The wallywhy150 has been developed on the same concept as the larger wallywhy200, and in fact both models were conceived at the same time four years ago,” says Stefano de Vivo, Managing Director at Wally. “What we’re doing is offering those same features of the bigger vessel but in a smaller package, with design decisions that have created a unique and ultimately highly liveable 23.99-metre motor yacht with unparalleled interior and exterior spaces, and a layout that will be envied by everyone who sees her.

“We didn’t see the smaller volume as a compromise,” de Vivo adds, “but rather a challenge and a new way to innovate – and at 150 gross tonnes, the wallywhy150 is actually a true ‘space-ship’, pushing into new frontiers for a sub-24-metre yacht.”

Riva 82’ Diva

Fresh from iconic Italian brand Riva, this 25-metre flybridge yacht features seemingly endless outdoor space. Guests can enjoy a 45 sqm beach club with foldable bulwarks and a raised panoramic cockpit, plus a 40 sqm flybridge with three integrated areas for all manner of social activities. Inside, a salon is lit by large windows and features a raised dining area for eight guests and a hidden galley. There’s also four guest cabins with en suites, a full-beam master, and a garage for tenders and Seabobs, covered by another outdoor space – a sunbathing area covered in sun pads.
