New Hampshire State Police reported there were ‘multiple victims‘ in a shooting at a psychiatric hospital in Concord, N.H.

The shooting occurred at about 4:45 p.m. and the suspect was found dead, police said.

The incident was contained to the hospital’s front lobby, State Police Col. Mark Hall said at a press conference. Authorities said the situation was contained and that there is no threat to the public.

Hall said police are investigating a “suspicious vehicle” at the hospital.

Gov. Chris Sununu confirmed that the state immediately mobilized, and first responders and law enforcement were on the scene.

“We will provide as many details as possible as this situation unfolds,” he wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

New Hampshire Hospital is the state’s only psychiatric hospital, located in the capital city. It has capacity for about 185 patients.
