Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign is aiming to bring the laughs — and the dollars — with a fundraising event featuring comedians including Rob Schneider, Adam Carolla and more.
The independent presidential candidate’s wife, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actor Cheryl Hines, will emcee “A Night of Laughter With RFK Jr. and Friends,” his campaign announced Tuesday.
The Feb. 21 campaign fundraiser in Los Angeles is poised to include appearances by comedian and podcaster Tim Dillon, “Saturday Night Live” alum Schneider, former “MADtv” cast member Bobby Lee, standup comic Dustin Ybarra and the “Adam Carolla Show” host.
Last month, Kennedy’s campaign said the White House hopeful wouldn’t attend a birthday party fundraiser in California hosted by a super PAC backing his bid after multiple celebrities who had been announced as attendees denied that they had ever planned to attend. The disputed guest list included Martin Sheen, Dionne Warwick and Mike Tyson, among others.
The 70-year-old environmental lawyer launched his presidential campaign last year as a Democrat, before switching to an independent bid in October.
