The U.S. Stock Market Has Shed $2.5 Trillion in Market Cap So Far


The tariff selloff on Thursday so far has erased more than $2.5 trillion in market cap from U.S. listed stocks on the major U.S. exchanges.

The U.S. market is on track for its largest wipeout in market value since March 16, 2020, when pandemic fears erased $3.5 trillion in value, according to Dow Jones Market Data.

The Dow dropped 1,500 points, or 3.5%. The S&P 500 fell 3.8%. The Nasdaq Composite sank 4.8%.
