Angel Reese is balling big time, and not because of her WNBA salary. In a recent Instagram Live, reuploaded by a fan account on X (formerly Twitter), the 22-year-old pro basketball player jokingly admits that sheâs âliving beyond [her] means.â Reese revealed that she pays $8,000 a month to rent her luxury Chicago high-rise, which would price the rising star out of the residence if not for her many endorsement deals, given her WNBA salary was reported as $73,439 for her debut season with Chicago Sky. Reese, the seventh overall pick from Louisiana State University in this yearâs WNBA draft, is projected to make $74,909 next season per the WNBAâs current collective bargaining agreement. âI just hope yâall know the WNBA donât pay my bills at all,â she says in the clip.
In a follow up post, Reese appeared to confirm that most of her earnings come from her lucrative endorsements, brand deals, and ventures outside of the WNBA, thanks in part to her rapidly-growing social media presence. The Chicago Sky forward currently boasts 4.4 million followers on Instagram and 4.6 million on TikTok. As one of the leagueâs top players, sheâs worked with big-name brands including Reeseâs, Beats by Dre, Coach, and Raising Caneâs. She earned around $1.7 million from sponsorships in 2022 and 2023 alone, per USA Todayâmore than enough to cover her apartment costs.

Reeseâs loft-style apartment in Chicagoâs South Loop neighborhood offers views of the cityâs skyline and Lake Michigan.
